Scope of Works - Install new 3G astroturf pitch

In October 2023 we completed the installation of a new 3G pitch at Moreton School in Wolverhampton for Concept Education Services LTD.

We started the works by excavating in the existing school field to reduce the levels to the correct formation and allow for the installation of the land drains. We then installed MOT Type 3 as a sub-base for both the netball and football pitch. Following installation of concrete edging kerbs to the perimeter and divide between the pitches, we installed a tarmac binder course and tarmac surface course to the netball pitch, to the football pitch we installeda tarmac binder course and a 3G astroturf surface complete with rubber crumb infill. We then installed mesh fencing to the perimeter and divide between the pitches including gates to allow access. On completion of these works we reinstated any disturbed surfaces ready for handover of the project.

The new 3G pitch will provide a consistent playing surface throughout the year, reducing the impact of weather conditions on sports activities and improving overall gameplay.
